Over To You Dear

A friend responded to my earlier blog.. and i gave her another piece of my shit. It doesn't matter if you can't make sense of the things mentioned here. I shall not attempt to make any further clarification.

She says : Sorry, I beg to differ frm u on ethnicity. U can say it now, but DAP is still and will always be all about Chinese. Listen carefully, and you will see. Luckily, you still have your Malay MB. Look at CGC itself, now u have your new SM frm Audit-what a jerk. Even your MD doesn’t really trust his own race.

So, I said : I am looking at a wider scope, not this CGC… as far as CGC is concern, if we don’t make changes; things will still be the same. It has been the same for the past 1 or 2 years in terms of what Perba is suppose to look at right now. Not that we didn’t give a chance to the current people for them to change how provisioning is going on, we did. But do things change? Nope, it didn’t. So let’s try another approach. It is just a coincidence that he has darker skin color and that he goes to temple to pray.
Would you think differently if he worships the same God as ours?
Would you have a different view if we get someone else (with ‘bin’ or ‘binti’) who lives by ‘provisioning’ day in and day out to do it?
On whether he or whoever can deliver or not, we won’t know until the person is given a chance. And if it doesn’t work, we change again.
It is the action that we take in order to change that matters.

She said : but u tell me who ever is the leader—definitely they will gain too sooner or later. Everyone is selfish. Look at CGC itself laa—amik SM baru frm audit yg tak tahu rehab at all, just because of using big fan---n attend meetings.

And I said: It is the same with the PRU12.

That is why the rakyat elected to change those who are in power now. The BNs were given enough time to change things that had made almost every single person on the street disgruntled. But, did they? Maybe they did, but they are perceived as not doing anything for the benefit of the rakyat. Why am I saying that? Reasons are obvious. And coincidently, the people that the rakyat chose are of different races and religions.

She said : Surely, I as a Malay, I want my country to rule by malay leaders who will continue to champion the rights of Malay. Not DAP/or Cina/ I still look at ethnicity—because adi—u never had those feeling of discrimination by other race for simple things such as borrowing books frm the uni library. How they circulate everything among themselves.
True I don’t agree with some umno leaders—typical—but u tell me---if you go to Lim Kit Siang—u thing he will help u?
I vote PKR just for the sake of Anuar Ibrahim—or his malay counterpart. His Malayism is still strong even though his agenda now is ambiguous.

Yes, I will go to Lim Kit Siang if I need to. Similarly, I would go to BN leaders, if I need to (again). And, if I don’t get the help that I needed from the person who I elected then I shall not elect him/her again. On the fact whether the leaders (that I have chosen or will choose) will help me or not, that would have bearing on my vote in the next 5 years and many more years to come.

It has been 50 years that those people think the Malays have ‘taken them for a ride’. But they’d survived. Because of what the Malays did to them (directly or indirectly), they retaliate. Probably, that is why you had problems borrowing books at Uni. Today, we are giving them just a little bit of what we have. There is no reason for us to be worried or even feel unsecured. If they had managed being a second class citizen all this years, must we be worried if we are still the 1st class citizens? Frankly, I think we should all be in the same class - of citizen.

And you think that I had never gone through the feeling of discrimination of being among the non-Malays? He he... we have had our fair share of that. Most of the Malays did (if not all). Try asking those who work at the place where majority are non-Malays. Lion Group, for example. They can tell you how discriminated and pressure they felt working there. If you waited long enough, probably, you can even compile what they say in a book as thick as the Yellow Pages.
But wait. What about those IPT specially built for Malays only? UiTM. What about those special discounts that we get when we buy houses as a Bumiputera? What about those other privileges that we get when we fill up forms dealing with the govt? I bet those non-Malays don’t feel discriminated at all. Why? You tell me. Why should they?

In fact, the more we feel discriminated, the more we re-act. The more we will progress. Ain’t that what happen to the Chinese? The Indians are another case in hand.

And finally, she said : N I don’t need a blog to show everyone that my am proud of my ethnicity n how Chinese n INDIANS are taking us for a ride. Tian Chua tu best sgt ker? Baik Hj Hadi. Should read Melayu Mudah Lupa by Mahathir.

RPK said, (and i edited it a bit) : The Malays are very emotional and unrealistic, lamented Mahathir on one occasion. The Chinese are more pragmatic, he added. Why can't the Malays be more like the Chinese? sighed Mahathir. Mahathir must be joking. He wrote the book; Melayu mudah lupa. Didn’t he?

Melayu mudah lupa, complained Mahahir on yet another occasion. Yes, Mahathir should know that by now. When he was Prime Minister, the Umno Malays would fall over each other in rushing to kiss his hands. Today (before the election), they are scared of being seen with him and will not even take his calls. If that is not the best example of Melayu mudah lupa then I don't know what is.

Najib says that the Chinese should reject DAP because DAP is working with PAS and PAS supports an Islam State. Najib is therefore saying that he too does not support an Islamic State. Najib says that the Malays should reject PAS because PAS is working with DAP and DAP supports a Secular State. Najib is therefore saying that he too does not support a Secular State. To the Malays, Najib says he does not support a Secular State and, to the Chinese, he says he does not support an Islamic State. So what then does Najib support? Well, it all depends on who he talks to. If he talks to the Chinese, he will whack the Islamic State and, if he talks to the Malays, he will whack the Secular State. Najib thinks that Melayu Umno bodoh and Cina DAP bodoh as well. Yang pandai Najib seorang saja.

Lastly I said : I blogged. And I shall continue blogging. He he..

Over to you, dear.

I love my country

Huh.. i just can't imagine for once.. that i had stay awake the whole night simply for the reason to know what is going to happen to this country. I waited for the polling result until Pak Lah made the announcement - BN had won with simple majority.

Yes, they did. And yes BN will rule again BUT this time around they won't be running this country like 'mak bapak dia punya'!!

This morning, a Chinese fella smiled when he saw me giggling at the news of BN defeat in Petaling Jaya. I looked up and said to him, "They deserved to lose". At the very moment, i have lost all the prejudice that was always within me every time i looked at non-Malays. I sense the greatest feeling of muhibbah crawling inside me slowly.

PKR and PAS took over from BN in Shah Alam. DAP was given the win by the rakyat in Subang and PKR got their share of it in Kelana Jaya. These are the places where my life revolves. .
I had given my mandate to those i think could bring changes to this country. I disregard their ethnicity. I don't care if they do not embrace Islam. I couldn't be bothered if their skins colours are not the same as mine. But truly, we are one. We are Malaysians. And I believe with all my heart that we can make this country a better place.

Whatever it is, let us all join hands and pray to God that the new Malaysia will be better. There are more people of younger generation in the Parliament now.. Khairy J, Nurul Izzah, Mukhriz M, Tian Chua, Nasharuddin, Mohd Azmin etc. means the voice of the young will be heard. I am damn sure that they wanted(have) to make Malaysia a better place for everybody; now that everybody is eyeing every single moves that they make. To move forward is to leave behind the old agendas.

Those old chickens can now take their beliefs and greediness down the drain and get their hands off the duit rakyat. You all semua dah kaya dan bertambah kaya. Dah cukup. Let the rakyat be given the equal opportunity. Let the rakyat gain something out of the rezeki of this country. Let us, the people of younger generation show you how it is to be done.

And the country shall now have the undying love (rightfully) from its citizens.. as how it should be.

It is now time for me to love this country again.
