Speak up, please.

I have been actively reading blogs and other articles, post-GE12. Some had left me with provoking thoughts, others merely tickled my tummy. It's quite funny though how I had changed my perspective on how the political scenes in this country is heading on. When I was at primary school, I remember going around TokBa house in Sg Petani collecting those BN posters. My thought was that, hey.. I'm going to hold on to this posters and re-hanged them during the next election. But of course, I can't recall where I had placed them the very next day.

As years passes by, with TokDet doing a very great job at what he was doing, I got into this complacent stage of - let them do what they do best, we'll just hang around to cheer them up when they walk pass by us. I believe that he is still good at what he did. He managed this beloved country very well. Wait, dont jump on me yet. I was just as innocent as the rest of the Malaysians who taught that these people were doing everything that they could for the benefit of each and everyone of us.

He he.. but that was the thing of the past. I've changed sides now. I just couldnt stand it any longer looking at those people 'with out' power taking advantage of what ever that they could get their hands on. Those with power? Needless to say arrr, its too obvious to comment.

Sometimes, we were too lazy to even say things that we disagree. Probably, it's the way we were brought up. (Who can we blame now?) I know for sure, I was raised that way. Mum would give me a 'bull's eye' stare whenever I wanted to say something while the elders are talking. So, what would you do? I would just sit back and keep quiet. The one and only right thing to do then.
That was 30++ years back.

Sufiah Yusof stories were spreading through the net and the papers, faster than I could say, "Woi bodo!". In a day, last week, I had at least 10 emails about her sitting in my inbox. One peek at the 1st one got me so pissed off. C'mon! I am not pissed off at Sufiah!. I was so disgusted by the way people are spreading her story. Did'nt it occur to their mind - "How would Sufiah's family members faced this agony??" Of course, we can't stop the wave but at least don't contribute to it. I am damn f**king sure, Sufiah did'nt want to get that messed up when she was studying her maths way back in school then. She was trapped. And there was probably no one around to help her up.

Owh, for God sake, just stop it. Let it subside naturally.. please.

I got into the habit of speaking up to those who sent me those emails.. at least, for a start.

And I would certainly continue speaking (read: blogging) up when there's something or anything I wanted to say.
